"Screen Time Higher than Ever for Children" by Tamar Lewin is about how kids are watching more TV and playing more games on iPhones and iPads. In recent studys it has been show children have been in front of screens much more . Also ,money is a factor in what children do. Lastly , many parents haven't been warned of dangers of spending more time on TV. and games.


    Children are spending to much time in front of screens.

    In America there is a problem of children spending to much  time in front of screens. Tamar Lewin , author of  "Screen Time Higher Than Ever for Children" says  "Despite the American Academy of Pediatrics' longstanding recommendations to the contrary, children under 8 are spending more than ever in front of screens". This means that being in front of a screen is not good for children , but they are doing it more than ever. "About twelve percent of children from 2 to 4 use computers everyday". Children from 2 to 4 are using computers a lot more than necessary .

    "Video Games Make Society Less Violent" by Brandon Nadeau is about how voilent crime rates have gone down scince video games have become a bigger part of society. Some people say video games promote violence .  An experiment is shown that proves that movies makes people more likely to commit violent crimes that games. Lastly he shows testimonials about how when people play games they don't even think about doing those things in real life.
   Brandon Nadeau, author of "Video Games Make Society Less Violent" says , "It appears the rate was highest in the Nintendo era, a time when video game violence was at a minimum"(274). It is apparent that not only do video games not cause violence , they might actually help stop it.
    Brandon Nadeau, author of "Video Games Make Society Less Violent" says , "Maybe the best evidence aginst the entire violence inspires violence movement is myself"(274). Nadeau ,by being nonviolent, shows that playing violent video games does not cause violence.

   "Head injurys in football" by New York Times is about how helmets have evolved to protect players from head injurys . The article stated how dangerous the game was in its early years because of head injurys . Then it explained how they changed equiptment to prevent head injurys . Lastly it told how dangerous the game still is and how the game can still improve to make it safer for players heads.
